Scheduling & Cash Flow
The goal of the Muli Scheduling solution is to enable Project Managers to create and maintain a superior Project Schedule with the minimum of effort. The created data is then passed to a Gantt Chart presentation.
While standalone Scheduling packages may have additional Bells & Whistles, Muli Scheduling will have been created and maintained with only 20% of the Project Team effort, but this requires a company-wide structured and accurate approach.
For Scheduling efficiency, your company should ensure the project templates are logical for the project types undertaken by your business unit.
There is no concept of being able to schedule Overheads, (However each order may be cash flowed).
The Muli Schedule Approach
The 9 key backbone Milestone elements are first added, based on Project Master Timings data.
Each Purchase Order/Subcontract is then processed.
1st all Milestones are processed.
Then any Risk2Do items.
Finally, the balance of the Order (monetary) not covered by Milestones.
Risk2do items are not included in Orders.
Unallocated Budget is then used to identify and balance off Project Element activities to be scheduled. This automation will systematically produce the extended list of items to be scheduled.
The project team should work through to review timings and the level of detail to be presented on a presentation Schedule.
The Muli approach is to only allow the Scheduling of defined Work Elements existing in a project, the majority of which would be loaded at budget load, either from the Skeleton or Estimate.
Generally, all items of Budget (Work Package Element), must be allocated to an Order or Subcontract, with the ability to add additional Elements within Menu 11 Maintenance, which requires the additional items to be given their schedule links.
